As usual, Monday and Tuesday sucked for me. Tuesday especially sucked bad.
One thing I love about the holiday season is watching "A Charlie Brown Christmas". I'm not much of a Peanuts fan, but I can relate to Charlie Brown in many ways. Tuesday was like the ultimate pull the football away while Charlie attempts to kick the ball and lands flat on his back. Thank you Taliban and ABC.
I really think airing the Obama speech and bumping "A Charlie Brown Christmas" was a big mistake on ABC's part. Every other stupid network channel was airing that speech; ABC could have scored big by sticking with Charlie Brown. As soon as I heard ABC was going to do that, I shorted DIS (which runs ABC).
Fundamentally, I think that the people making that decision are idiots and will probably run that network into the ground, but I also liked the DIS chart today as a short.
When it comes to cartoons, I've always been more of a Warner Brothers guy anyway. Disney cartoon characters always creeped me out. The only one that is sort of ok with me is Donald Duck, and that's probably because he has that cool rich uncle who swims in gold coins. As far as I’m concerned; Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and the rest can all go to hell.
