Uncertain Direction

I have a bit of a windows bug with my keyboard, as if the ‘Sleep’ button is pressed my computer will go to sleep. That would be ok except that when the ‘Wake Up’ button right next to it is pressed, nothing happens at all. I have been unable to find any way to wake up my computer other than a hard reboot, and on that reboot I lose any unsaved work. For this reason mainly my office is a cat free zone.

Last night I lost about two hours of unsaved work after accidentally hitting this key and have used a lot of time today redoing it. I didn’t manage to get a post out in RTH, so I’m doing a post close wrap post to look at the pattern setup on the indices here. I did do the premarket video for Daily Video Service subscribers at theartofchart.net, and hopefully some of you saw that after I posted the link on my twitter at the open. If not you can see that here and I was particularly pleased with my NG call today which delivered beautifully.

The Sky is Not Falling Yet (by Avi Gilburt)

By -

First published Sat Oct 1 for members of ElliottWaveTrader.net:  This past week, I have been sent several “stories” that the dollar is going to absolutely “crash” on September 30th, which will supposedly cause metals to rally to the moon and beyond.  And, as I have noted in my Trading Room oh so often, we have had so many such “stories” in the past, and we will no doubt have many more in the future. But, “stories” are not what drive the market, despite the common erroneous belief to the contrary, as the sky did not fall this past week, and neither did the dollar.

Then we had further “stories” of Deutsche Bank crashing and taking the world financial markets down with it.  And, once again, all the “safe haven” gold addicts were harping about how gold was going to soar on this news.  While more and more bad news was coming out about Deutsche Bank this past week, more and more were calling for not only the collapse of the company, but also a crash to the markets and a moon shot for gold.

Announcing House Safari

By -

Two years ago to the day, I sat down with a friend of mine from back in the days of Prophet. He wanted to catch up, and he shared with me some ideas he was having about real estate information. We started talking excitedly about all that could be done in this surprisingly undeveloped area, and I latched on to the idea of creating a mobile app in this sector.

I am delighted to finally announce the introduction of House Safari, into which we have poured a tremendous amount of time, cash, and unfettered love. I suppose the quickest way to explain it would be “it’s like a Yelp for houses”, but there’s a lot more to it than that. Please check out the website and play the video there. (I’ve done more specific videos on this page, if you’re interested). If you have iTunes or are reading this on your iPhone, click here.

If you have an iPhone or iPad, download the free app and give it a try. I’ve been looking forward to this day a long time, and I’m thrilled it’s finally here. And if you download it, please do me a favor and give it a nice review. I’m cashing in whatever Slope gratitude might be out there!
