The weekly chart for natural gas (UNG) makes an even more compelling case I think. What you can see is that the EMA(13) has strayed a little too far from EMA(34) and needs to retrace, plus a wide ascending channel appears to have formed. There is the likely possibility of UNG rising to the EMA(34) in the coming weeks having broken out of it's long declining channel that began February of last year! My hope that it 'decouples' from crude when it does this as crude is likely taking it on the chin in the medium-term.
