Feb to Mar 2006, houses for sale in NJ saw buyers evaporate. Literally. In the space of three weeks people just stopped buying houses. Real estate agents had never seen that happen before. My friend had his house on the market, and we were about to list ours. No buyers at all at any price. And NJ was hardly an over valued market. 3/29/14
