I want to make sure folks know that a single YM contract can be purchased for less than $5.00 BUT the notional value today is about $117,000. So unless you fully understand this, then please use much cheaper proxies for the YM like maybe the DIA or some of the many different forms of ETF's. Leverage is a wonderful thing if you are VERY familiar with it otherwise; it's a killer!. 10/24/17

I would paper trade this for a few months until I felt comfortable and then start buying small quantities of a DOW tracking ETF that was priced within a range that I felt OK with even if I lost it all (not likely but that's a mindset a successful trader develops) just try to use ETF's that have enough volume so that the bid - ask spread is small so that you don't get beat-up trying to sell out) 10/24/17
