The Ubiquitous Pattern

By -

The kind of pattern that I've been shorting like crazy lately is the HADWAMR. (huge-ass dome with a massive retracement), which is pronounced "had-wammer". They've been turning up everywhere.

It takes these things a while to cook, but sometimes they blow right up. AVY is today's example, which is down double digits of percent, whereas HTCH, another short of mine, was an example from earlier this week. I {heart} this pattern.

TYP’s Surprising Strength

I mentioned triple-bearish-on-tech TYP in a post yesterday, and it continues to push higher. The minute bar graph, shown below, indicates both the massive increase in volume as well as the clean price break-out. Interesting stuff.

On the flip side of things, I have noticed some large-caps have been beaten down to some pretty attractive levels. Take X, for example.

I am long OIH and SLV at this point, simply because the market has got to turn around at some time or another, and these two seem like good holdings for such a turnaround.
