Loving Las Vegas
Ever the contrarian, I'll offer a bullish idea on a down day like this. Las Vegas Sands (LVS) is something I just bought (I bought it a few days ago, and sold it for a small profit, and I'm buying into it again). I like this pattern, and the fact it's up 1% on a day like today is pretty encouraging.
I'll also mention that plans are shaping up for a SlopeFest in Las Vegas around May 10-13. If you're serious about getting together for – I dunno – a raucous dinner or something – sign up here. No obligation, of course. Not available in all states. Sorry, Tennessee!

Before we get too excited about the little tumble today, let's assume DIA is just having a "healthy pullback." I've taken on a large long position, strictly as a hedge, with a stop tighter than Chrstina Romer's elastic waistband after a three-burrito breakfast. If DIA breaks below 106.96, forget it – the bears have gained the upper paw.
