When Peloton had its IPO last year, it seemed to do well at first, but then it really started to flop. People wondered why a stationary bike company should be so richly-valued, plus it got a lot of backlash from its sole commercial, which people took as sexist. You would think I would have had any lingering naivete squeezed out by now, but apparently not: I had hoped yesterday’s firm declaration by the POTUS that all talks were terminated about this “stimulus” package until after the election was sincere. Nope. Within hours, he threw the door wide open again. Banking on this guy’s word is probably, ya know, misguided. The lion’s share of the drop yesterday has been eradicated.(more…)
