Lost that Buzz
Remember Buzzfeed (BZFD)? They’re the money-losing company which had one of the many, many SPAC disasters over the past couple of years. Out of a desperate need to get some press, they announced late in January that they’d be using ChatGPT to write some of their content. For some reason, the double-digit IQ investing public latched onto this idea and BZFD, instead of trading virtually no shares like most days, traded nearly A QUARTER BILLION shares two days in a row, making its stock price roar higher by a triple digit percent.
Let’s just say that the thrill is gone, and this moronic non-event has finally been recognized for what it is: a cheap ploy to get some attention for a company which probably won’t even exist a year from now.
