Since when did gold become an equity ETF? My hand to God, if you look at the charts of the SPY (top) and GLD (bottom) below, they’re in lockstop. Good Lord!
The chart of the correlation between these two tells the story: it has moved steadfastly up to nearly fully-correlated. Annoying!!!!
