I visited their main plant a few times many years ago. Tight operation and the automation is surprisingly good. When I visited Tastykake and Campbell's in the early 90's I could not believe some things I saw. No GMPs whatsoever. At Tastykake I saw dough being shoveled off the floor and put back into the mixer. I saw a worker at Campbell's making chicken soup, sweat was dripping off his nose into the vat. I mentioned it to the production manage and he said: "It's all aseptically processed, no worries". 1/17/22
I have such fond memories of eating a quarter box of Tastykake along with probably a quart of milk... But, it doesn't quite taste as good to me any more.
