CHART OF THE DAY: Facebook Popularity - Business Insider

1/2 of Americans think Facebook is a passing fad

Despite the fact that Facebook has 900 million users, almost half of people think it's a passing fad.

CNBC and the AP surveyed 1,003 Americans about Facebook and found 46% think it will fade away. Amusingly, only 31% of the people surveyed think it's a bad investment.

Facebook is trying to copy elements of twitter for promoting businesses. In long run I donot think they could monetize it. 5/15/12

something that is almost never (or never) written about is, those 900 million users. are those actual accounts? because millions of accounts (users) are 'Fake' accounts, opened for gaming only. So what are the factual numbers. To me a dangerous game itself once they are public. From knowledge i know 1 person can have 30 or more accounts. 5/16/12
