I see *a lot* of comments about MMT and/or the trillion dollar coin as the solution to all our problems. Yes, as is often said, the US is sovereign in its own currency, but so was Russia when they chose to not pay their army and defaulted instead. Choice between a bad outcome and a very bad outcome, they picked the lesser of two evils. 10/9/24
