SLVO
Investment Strategy: SLVO tracks the NASDAQ Silver FLOWS 106 Index, which employs a "covered call" strategy. It maintains a long position in the iShares Silver Trust (SLV) while notionally selling monthly call options with a strike price approximately 6% above the current price (106%).
So this bad boy just paid out $7.91 per share. (monthly distribution)
BITO, which is much more vague in its description of what trading strategy it employs in order to generate cash, did manage to hand out something less than a penny per share.
XBTY, which sells put options on blips, managed to fart out a few pennies per share.
All of these instruments are a relatively recent development.
These things now allow the little people to half ass participate in hedge-fund-esque investing, which I think is bad ass, and they are only going to multiply.
There are a good handful that play around with more legitimate stocks for interested parties.
HAPPY THURSDAY!
