Since the '08 crash, there's been many Chicken Littles squawking about falling skies and economic armageddon. 

This site captures a lot of the warnings as far back as the lead-up to the '08 US Presidential election and here we are, already bored with the 2012 election and the situation is far from resolved. 

Will the US Dollar collapse and cause the country to fail and fall into a spiral, from which it cannot talk its way out of severe consequences. 

Anyone expecting to retire in the USA in the next 25 years and expecting any form of government check to support their basic needs, let alone their desire to maintain a comfortable lifestyle, is already seeing a bleak future.
