I think we see this cycle of repeating sinusoidal price action recur for all kinds of reasons. If there's a widely held underlying in the public view, I could agree it's "sentiment." If it's institutional, it's more pragmatic business decisions that somewhat ironically arrive at similar decisions. 8/19/12

Spam. Just realized this is another self-advertisement for Morpheus Trading. Boring. Not honest. 8/19/12

I don't think it's spam; it seems OK to me. 8/19/12

I was scratching my head, wondering why this would be considered spam. Accompanying the graph, there is a legitimate, extensive article that took me several hours to write, which I really felt would be of value, especially to beginning traders. It's a bit disappointing when people think my work is spam. Sure, I usually have a link to my service at the end of the article, but if the content is of quality value, how does that in itself make it spam? I've been posting on SlopeofHope for nearly a year and have very positive feedback rating, which I would not have received if posting spam. Anyway, thanks Tim, glad you agree. 8/19/12

Great -- SocialTrade has its first controversy!

The link in this post and earlier posts by MorpheusTraindg refers to a page that refers to Morpheus Trading site and that site solicits subscriptions and sells books.

It did take a few minutes to read the 1662 words from the top of the given page to get to the link to MorpheusTrading, but there it is: a self-referencing advertisement with no other content or purpose ... that's spam in the bucket.

This post to socialtrade:
http://deronwagner.hubpages.com/hub/stock-trading- psychology
links to:
http://www.morpheustrading.com/
which immediately solicits a "risk free trial" and asks for subscription sign-up on its front page, and book sales on a "Why MTG?" page ...

The socialtrade user "MorpheusTrading" has 15 posts to socialtrade and all reference back to morpheustrading.com ... that's just plain advertising, it's not contributing to a social sharing of retail traders offering each other their "here's what works for me" with no strings.

The "self-directed, individual investor or retail trader" world is full of "educational" and "trade advisory service" offerings. If socialtrade is another trading post for all these vendors to post their bills and solicit new business, okay, it's just not at all what I thought was the intention or purpose of socialtrade. 8/19/12

Hi Adam,

Thanks for your further explanation of why you felt it was spam, though I cannot say I agree with you.

While it is true that the home page of Morpheus Trading is aimed at signups, you may have missed the link to my blog on the menu of that same site. On my blog, i have hundreds and hundreds of educational posts of avlue to technical swing traders, and i post at least one to two new ones each day. Yes, there is a link at the bottom for anyone who wants the premium service, but I don't see how my entire blog could be considered spam by your rationale.

Morpheus has a stellar reputation of teaching our trading strategy to traders since 2002, longer than a vast majority of other trader education sites. Not likely we would still be around if relying on spammy techniques.

Anyway, as I have said to my wife in the past, i guess we must just agree to disagree (and just try to avoid my posts).

Cheers,
Deron 8/19/12
