It is hard to believe how stock markets in the western world have bubbled three times since and price-wise the Nikkei is still languishing in the mid-1980s. Japan was doing so well in the late 80s we all thought that the Japanese were economically invincible at that time. If you'd said that the chart between 1986 and 2016 would have looked like this, back in the 1980s, they would have laughed at you. 6/17/16
