Federal Reserve increased its balance sheet in week ended April 18. It has reduced balance sheet in Q2 by $6.3 billion out of a total scheduled reduction of $90 billion. Correlation with S&P 500?

Balance sheet reduction should pick up in the next week or two.

To be fair, Q2 is just starting - the Fed has reduced its balance sheet by $58B since Jan 3rd, and the curve looks like it's getting steeper, although it does have lots of bumps.

I think they're being more aggressive than most expected. 4/20/18

You are right, they are reducing on schedule if you look at it quarterly, they came in hot in Jan and Feb and cooled in March (they did almost $50 of the $60 for the quarter the first two months). For that reason, I expect a pickup in the next week or two. 4/20/18
