This chart shows the growth in visitors to the Canton Fair (the China Import Export Fair). The only time the number of visitors declined was in 2008, and even then, the fall visits were greater than the spring. This October, the number of visitors fell from 2012 and from the prior spring, and turned negative for the first time since 2008. CNY has been very strong and Chinese exports already went negative in September due to emerging market weakness.
