During the depression my Great Grandfather left America and went back to village in Greece....at least you had food and shelter.. 
People grew own food, made own cloth, shoes village was self sufficient... 9/14/13

My grandfather won't eat chicken to this day, b/c he grew up during the Great Depression, and watched his mom keep/kill chickens in the backyard.  
 
But he does find it acceptable to eat at Hardees nearly every morning. lol 9/14/13
