If these stats were from Germany or Japan, I would ask the same question. The point is quality, not the country of origin. On one hand there is much handringing about the supposed impact on climate of "carbon based" everything, no one is talking about the insanity of planned obsolescence that is ever decreasing in duration... 8/28/21
Quality is not the issue. The UK sold almost all of its car companies. Most of the manufacturers in the UK are foreign and they manufacture what sells. 8/28/21
Then ofcourse Covid killed the chip supply and they can't chip their automobiles. There's no difficulty in finding buyers for the automobiles. For some reason there's money to buy them even though there aren't motors to buy. We just seem to be importing more. 8/28/21
British cars manufactured by British companies tend to be the expensive high-end vehicles that get exported to Saudi and the Arab Emirates. Not that many get bought here. 8/28/21
