Fyi I will be on vacation in India for next 2 weeks so will not be posting much.... Will be back on 15 Aug... ciao slopers
I know one thing for certain. If you commit rain or shine, broke or rich, to a dog, your life will be better for it. There will be struggles without question. But the reward is one I cannot explain or measure in human language.
Water color portrait of mine. Yes he really smiles like this. #dogs https://s3.amazonaws.com/cdn2.socialtrade.com/comsys/imgs/Screenshot_20260816-220142_kCTyzq_l.png

Since we have so many pet lovers I thought I’d share my weekend craziness.
First my dog who has been overly interested in something under my deck. Has a sore paw. I think it was a wasp stinger. They tend to burrow in the ground near my house due to all the chipmunk holes. However after crawling under the deck to fill the hole we did find several frogs.
I cleaned his paw and two days later thought it was good so went to bed without wrapping it and just as I fell asleep he woke us with scary symptoms. We put him in the truck and whisked him to the vet ER.
After the vet examined him she looked at us and asked if he got into any marijuana? I lived in the 80’s and I am not against anyone who likes it but we don’t have any in the house. So you can imagine the look on my face when she told us he had that as his symptom. Of course the vet wanted to do 10 different tests but said if he is buzzed it will wear off. Then as we were sitting there deciding what to do he let out this noise he makes when I leave the house to exercise and I leave him behind. The whole place started trying not to laugh. Long story short we did have landscapers in the yard that day. Our regular vet said it wasn’t milkweed or mushrooms from the woodchips. Good thing my boy is over 90 pounds. I can't imagine what would have happened to a small dog. Why does this stuff only happen after hours and a long work day? Hiro is good now.

Crazy day - I had a huge drawdown when I sold the $STX 805 puts (2x) at the open for $335 (0DTE). I got called away for an important call and the fugger tanked to the 760s - I had a drawdown of $9000. What did I do - in the old days I would have panicked and exited with a $9K loss. Today, I assessed the situation and decided I'd take possession of the 200 shares and sell covered calls against them next week. And I did something crazy, I sold another put at $3130 so now I had pulled in 3130+335x2 = 3800 with a 9K drawdown thinking I might own 300 shares at 805 come Monday or about 793/share equivalent - it was trading about 772 then. My avg price on the options was 1267 then. I decided to place orders to cut one at 1300, one at 1000 and keep the other one. Lo and behold, the orders hit and I was left holding one which I let go for $218, Dang - collected 3800, spent 2513 so I made almost 1300 on a position that I was down over $9K at one point. Trading is not for the feint of heart!
