The dollar's strength is absolutely the tonic the bears needed. It is working wonders. My bearish energy positions – and they are big'uns – are going to start the day off with a huge bang. I see the USO is down an amazing 2.37% before the opening bell.
I say again: the dollar's strength will zap equities. Just look as the USD/CAD below: if that was a stock, wouldn't you be buying it?
OK, not bad. The $NDX is up 0.39%, the $RUT is up 0.19%, and the Dow is down 0.13%, but my portfolio is up 1.21%. I like it. It makes me feel good when a purely bearish portfolio has a great day even in the face of green. Good! That shows these picks are sound.
I'm starting to feel (and blog) like my old self again. It's nice to be back. I'll probably do another post later. Adios, amigos.
