I saw an offhanded comment from TNR about shorting copper. I hadn’t looked at /HG in ages, but I am inclined to agree!

Surgical Strike
I have thirty bearish positions in my main portfolio. I’d like to feature one of them, Intuitive Surgical, in this post. Even with the diminishment in price this year, this sucker still is sporting a P/E of 70, and the topping pattern seems as plain as day. I have March 17th $300 puts (which is awfully deep in the money, I realize).

A Whimper, Not a Bang
Welcome to the last trading day of 2022, everyone. As I wrote to our premium members yesterday, the massive run-up in equities offered the risk of “snookering” people into buying, but ” is going to melt like a freshly-fallen snow in the sunshine.” Sure, we may rip higher on Tuesday (the first trading day of 2023, when people will be at their most optimistic) but my point still stands. The “Santa Claus Rally” of 2022 has been a pathetic death watch……….
