Adam and Rebekah Neuman may be shameless grifters, but they sure know how to force someone into a fantastic golden parachute. Last year, when this long-term sinewave on natural gas was sky-high, I pointed out the opportunity to go short /NG. Well, this thing has been utterly clobbered, and it seems to me we’ve reached an important low. It sure didn’t take long.
Apple’s business model is simple and straightforward: rely on people being so desperate to fill the aching psychic void in their lives that they regularly turn their expensive cell phone into land-fill by “upgrading” to yet another phone with some minuscule and useless marginal feature improvement that they don’t really need. It has worked for years, so much so that Apple is worth trillions, but the cycle seems to be kicking in again to the downside. Indeed, the latest risible rise didn’t even muster the strength to tag resistance. Diver down, baby.
Welcome back from the long weekend. Good Lord, I can’t stand those things. And don’t even get me started on how I’m going to be flipping out on Juneteenth. Having two three-day weekends in just a few weeks time is, to me, positively revolting. I suppose I should set aside my hatred of holidays and focus on the fact that at least we get to trade between now and Memorial Day. Sheesh, people can be lazy.
Anyway.
My screens have a goodly amount of red on them, which is a handsome start to the week. The high-fiving, back-slapping, and tongue-sucking the bulls were engaged in after the jobs report has been blown to smithereens.
