I have made clear that I’m long XLU in a big way. My view is that interest rates have topped out for the moment, as illustrated neatly by the ultrashort fund on bonds, symbol TBT.
Final Bull Failure
The one sector of the financial world that was still bullish was commodities. Not anymore! Now we can really start collapsing. The same thing happened back in 2008, since energy/commodities kept pushing higher even while everything else has started crumbling away months earlier.
Give Me a Double?
Well, it’s not a bad day so far. The bucking bronco called XLU is trying to throw me off, but I’m hanging on. I wanted to do a quick post about the almost-always-interesting real estate fund symbol IYR. It has reached a level not witnessed by many other financial instruments, which is to match the Rolo Low of October 13th of last year.
