I sure miss the days when a dozen outside contributors jostled and volleyed for airtime on Slope. Now almost 100% of the content is up to me, and on rare occasions like this when I have to completely lock in to going through hundreds of charts, I just don’t have the time. Suffice it to say I’m working for you, but behind the scenes. Talk amongst yourselves. I’m going to be very quiet today.

Freak Show

We’re only an hour into the trading day, and I have been ungodly busy. There are times I can allow things to be on cruise control, and other times when it’s all hands (in this case, two) on deck. I continue to be running at full speed, but I’ll briefly highlight three short positions which, God bless ’em, actually are managing to be down even on a day like this. It’s almost unreal that it’s possible……….

Brace for Impact

We just experienced one of the biggest overnight sessions in market history thanks, as we all know, to Taco Tuesday. (Interestingly, this was a virtually day-for-day replica of what happened precisely a year ago, since likewise on April 7th the white flag went up, but that time for tariffs instead of war). Fortunes were made. Fortunes were lost. And, in some cases, fortunes were nicked (raises hand).
