Here is yet another historic milestone in a market packed with them: for the first time in history, the semiconductor index went up seventeen days in a row. Can you imagine what kind of emergency federal actions would be taking place if it had been DOWN seventeen days in a row? But up? No problem!
The market collapsed all of 0.39% today, but still, my shorts did terrific. My one stinker was Intel, which I shorted today (small position) but covered at a loss after the close, since they are raging higher.
Besides that, though, today was a winner across the board.
Over the past five trading days, there’s been about a year’s worth of market action. For those day-trading this successfully, I tip my paw to you, but for me, I’m content with my 30 little short positions.
Since I took my solemn pledge not to say anything bad about you-know-who (although it seems most Slopers would rather I go back to my old ways), I’ll continue to keep my mouth shut, although it’s like being a famous baker who can’t talked about goddamned FLOUR, but I’m a man of my word.
Suffice it to say that the pronouncements offered on Friday were clearly fictitious, and this market has entered a completely paranoid and delusional state, as it is getting wildly jerked up and down. Personally, I’m having an AWFULLY good day.
