Sorry to do another fawning post about Tesla, but I’ve never had such a consistently good experience with an organization before.
The only “defect” I’ve experienced with my car has been floppy carpet. Yes, my friends, you read me right. Specifically, the floor mat on the passenger’s side would, on occasion, “flop” so that it was folded in half, instead of obediently clinging to the carpet beneath. This is about as classic a “first world” problem as one is going to encounter.
I tried to fix this heartbreaking situation with Velcro, carpet tape, and even some drops of glue. Nothing held it in place. Today I finally called Tesla and, as before, a real life person (who speaks real live native English) answered right away. I started to explain the problem, and he instantly knew what I was talking about and asked me to come in so they could put their super duper special Velcro on it.
So I drove there, and they did not do what they said they would do. Instead of providing a velcro strip, before I knew it, they had replaced all three floor mats with brand new ones (which had been improved so this “flop” problem wouldn’t occur). So, voila, I suddenly have $200 or so worth of new floor mats to resolve my tiny little issue.
The DNA of any organization spreads far and wide. I know TSLA as a stock is richly valued right now, but I continue to maintain that this company has a bright future ahead. I am a very, very happy customer.
