After being bailed out to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars in free money, the airline industry has managed to survive the pandemic. In my opinion, vaccine or no vaccine, the business travel industry has been permanently changed, and the sheer quantity of flights taken for either business or pleasure is going to be permanently diminished.
