Below is an illustration of the projected population change in various states. Far and away the biggest winners, if you want to think of it that way, are Texas and Florida. Congrats, you two! The more humans YOU take means the fewer I have to deal with. Although the state that’s evidently dying – Illinois – isn’t too appealing as a destination to me. I think I’ll just stay put.

Greatest Misnomer in History

When I was growing up, the go-to apple my mom would provide in the house was the Red Delicious. There have been few greater lies in human history. “Red”, sure, I’ll give it to you. We’re in agreement there. But “Delicious”? How about mealy? Or bland? Or disappointing? I guess Red Disappointment didn’t pass muster with the apple marketing board, but I feel a certain sense of justice in being executed in our society as red delicious goes the way of the Jello mold in terms of household staples.
