Weak Crude
The only red on the screen this morning, bless it, was crude oil. I have been following this pattern for months. We’ve got a massive right triangle top in formation composed of two portions. We need to crack below the yellow zone to really get this thing rolling.

Crude Scheming Fails
As I hope you know, last weekend the lovely people constituting OPEC – – which are basically a conglomeration of nations that would have NOTHING to offer the world were it not for the fact that, by sheer accident, a bunch of dinosaurs died beneath their ground hundreds of millions of years ago – – got together in their market-manipulating cartel and declared that, once again, they would SUPPRESS the natural energy supply in a shameless attempt to maximize their profits. As the arrow indicates, it worked great.

Not a great day for the Timster, but at least crude oil’s sudden rise seems to have met its match.
Memorial ETFs: Energy
Preface to all ETF posts this weekend: This is not a normal holiday weekend. Supposedly, when we return to the trading world Tuesday, there will be some resolution (or more chaos) regarding the debt ceiling.
