Taxing the Brie Out of You
Here’s a breakdown as to which countries tax the most (France) and least (Saudi Arabia). Here in California, between federal, state, FICA, and property taxes, some folks shell out 70% of their income to various government parasites, so 46% sounds pretty good to me!

Your Taxes at Work
Since the majority (and I do mean the majority) of my income and the income of everyone else I know gets sucked up by government parasites, it’s interesting to see what folks think of different places where the money is allocated. Not surprisingly, people are totally OK with the splendor of the Grand Tetons and other national parks, whereas they’re not so keen on the IRS. Interestingly, the most despised of all isn’t the tax man anymore but………the Department of Education! I’m inclined to agree.

Interesting choice of the photo for Biden: I think it was one of his vacuous debate visages. Of course, being a Fire Chief in Palo Alto beats most of these, to say nothing of the City Manager.

Note: I wrote this yesterday. Since then the price of Biden shares has dropped in half. I still think he remains the nominee though.
