Here is an interesting graphic about the companies that dominated the news (and our lives) in 2021. I think it varies from person to person. For instance, I seriously doubt Tik Tok meant a thing to anyone reading this, whereas Tesla was a bit more relevant.
The world hates bears. The people of Earth would rather the market go up 20% every year, without interruption, and anything or anyone getting in the way of that is a problem. Therefore, if we actually get an honest-to-God bear market going, I fully expected that eventually there would be the typical horseshit of making short-selling illegal, trying to shut down people like me, and so forth.
I figured it would take a pretty severe slaughter to get them going, but, no, here we are maybe 2% off the highest levels of the history of the universe, and these pantywaists are alreadyscreeching and shrieking and getting their panties in a bunch:
