The entire world was in LOVE with energy up through June 8th. A mere two days later, I did a premium post which stated that, as strong as energy had been, the mere fact that Jim Cramer was a fan was enough for me to commit substantial capital resources to shorting it.
If I was as good a trader as I am a chartist, I’d be extraordinarily rich.

Let’s back up a bit. When I called it a day yesterday, the bulls got just the kind of Federal fellatio that they received at the last FOMC fest, which was on May 4th. If you’ll recall, that disgusting pig Jerome Powell stood at the podium and lied, prevaricated, and deceived, all to good effect. Equities absolutely exploded. Just like yesterday.
(more…)This is a weirdly awkward time for me. The list of stuff I have gotten OH-MY-GOD correct is pretty goddamned astonishing. Seriously. This shows the planet isn’t a meritocracy. Cramer makes $5 million a year and is a world-famous Bozo. Whereas I have to scrape around for subscriptions. Oh, well. At least I have my hair.
I am knocking it out of the park this year (charts=A+) and my trading remains a solid C+, at best (and that’s probably generous). I trust you’ve been benefiting, however. I’ve been tying myself up in a knot all night about what I’ve done right and wrong, and how I would handle today. Superficially speaking I’ll come right out and say it, I think we may be hitting an important low at the moment. Take note of the Fibonacci at the bottom.
I believe someone here – – today, even! – – was saying he didn’t really buy my whole “Animal Spirits” thing I’ve been talking about for weeks. I certainly hope the absolutely cataclysm we’re seeing across all financial markets PROVES the animal spirts thesis to be 100% spot-on.
People have the nerve to act surprised. I said for eons that once support was breached, it was bye-bye, crypto. Oh, well. I guess that’s the price I pay for having a tiny audience. If only I was a screeching simpleton like Cramer and had a worldview following, maybe it would be different.
In any case, Earth has finally caught on, and #Cryptocrash is one of the to trending topics on Twitter. Truly.
