Adjusting the Big Picture

My October 18, 2008 sketch of the market's future – which came to me in an inspired (OK, the only inspired) moment – is something I refer to from time to time.

One thing I've puzzled over is how to reconcile the projected low of 711.50 with the actual low of 666.79 – – if you divide the latter by the former, you get 0.93716092761770906535488404778637.

What if you take this coefficient and apply it to my projected high of 1152? You get 1079.60. What was today's high? 1080.15, a mere fifty-five hundredths above.

I'm not sure if this means anything, but I thought it was interesting.
