XLU, the ETF based on the utility index, has all the sexy appeal of a reincarnated "Mama" Cass Elliott in a make-out session with Barney Frank. In spite of this, this is one of my favorite shorts – and it is by far the largest – since it has been relatively weak and – importantly, I think – has broken both its ascending trendline as well as its horizontal support.
