A Quartet of Shorts
As was the case last night, I have an in-town guest with whom I’ll be meeting all afternoon and evening, so I’m just going to toss out a post with some short ideas (not that there are actually any bears left…………but it provides a good giggle or two). Hats off to the bulls (again) for another record close virtually across the entire board of U.S. stock indexes. You have Yellen to thank.

Last night in the comments section, I asked if there was any special reason the ES was falling. The reply came that it was to “tease the bears” and that the ES would assuredly be green by today. Well – – right again, Slopers. (more…)

Itchy Trigger Finger
This market is teaching some lessons that I think are harmful (but, in this environment, necessary). For example, this morning, I came into the day long a bunch of $RUT puts. I was delighted to see the ES down over 10 points before the market opened. It looked like a good day. (more…)
