I tend to think in metaphors (to a fault, probably), so I’m surprised it took me this long to figure out the state of our equity markets. In one picture:
Day after day provides the same example. Any weakness, no matter how small, is snuffed out – – and quickly. I’ve given up being optimistic about any red in a nighttime session. It’ll all get taken care of by the morning. Today, of course, is no exception.
As with the T-1000, rifles, liquid nitrogen, shotguns – – they’ll all have brief effects but will heal right up, and he’ll be good-as-new within moments. Only something enormous – – something huge and insurmountable – – is going to break these stupid equity markets. What the equivalent of a pool full of molten steel is, however, I have no idea.
