Goodies Forthcoming

By -

Once again, I awake to a world so uninspiring for content that I struggle to imagine what to write. In this desperate situation, I’ll resort to something I hate doing, which is telling you in advance of some of the things we’re working on in the background of Slope. I normally like to surprise you with such new goodies, but I’ll spoil it somewhat out of a sad need for something – – anything – – to say:

  • True Comparison Charts: we’ve had comparison charts for a long time, but these are percentage comparisons. I’ve missed the ability to look at two separate charts, each with their own independent y-axis. We actually had a feature like this early in the history of SlopeCharts, but we ditched it. We’re going to bring it back, but better.
  • Price Cones: you options folks are going to go crazy with this one. We’ll be merging volatility data with SlopeCharts in order to present price cones. Trust me, you’re going to love it.
  • Advance/Decline Stats: there are a couple of things going on here. First, we’re going to make available to you all the advance/decline data, both on a quantity and a volume basis, for the U.S. exchanges. More importantly, we’ll be offering advance/decline accumulation lines to help spot major market divergences. I am really eager to see this, as it seems the market’s breadth has been waning lately, even in the light of daily record highs.
