Strolling Philly

Again, Happy Independence Day, Slopers. I am in Philadelphia for a while, and this morning, as I am wont to do, I strolled around early in the morning on a quest for a (medium-sweet) chai. I’ll say this about Philadelphia: they love their dogs. That’s apparent. So thumbs up for that. Here are a few photos from this morning. First, appropriately enough, here is the Second Bank of the United States (precursor to our Federal Reserve).

Weight a Minute

Many years ago, during Slope’s earliest incarnation, I wrote about an incident in my life in which I accidentally burned the roof of my mouth with Nutella spread that was too hot. See, I had spread some Nutella on some toast, put it in the toaster, took it out, and took a nice big bite. Yeowwwwww. Let’s just say that Nutella heats up a lot more than bread, and it was like having volcano toast.
