My fascinating with Slope’s virtual trading system continues, unabated. One thing I noticed is a sea-change is the volatility of my equity chart. Some months ago, my equity curve followed a relatively sane-looking boom-and-bust cycle, but generally heading in the right direction.
Once I had reached crazy-high amounts of equity, though, I started going bonkers, putting out nine-figure bets on very short-term moves. This has made the equity curve go absolutely berserk.
Maybe this is what it’s like to be really rich – – running the risk of feeling invincible, and therefore taking absurd, irresponsible risks. Good thing it’s all fake!
