Friday Returns

Whoops. I glanced at my bedroom clock and saw it was 5 a.m., which means it’s time to get the day started. The thing is, since I haven’t been here the past three days, I didn’t changed the non-computer clocks, which means it was actually 4. Oh, well!

Anyway, in spite of a nice gap down on Sunday, the markets climbed their way, inch by inch, well back into the green, and as I’m typing this, we’re hanging out precisely where we were at Friday morning’s peak. Bleah.

The Russell 2000 futures have likewise climbed their way higher, but I’ve got to tell you, this is a very sloppy looking base. I don’t think it’s going to follow through.

Crude oil also also replicated its Friday peak, but it’s already starting to weaken, and it’s still managing to be down by a full percentage point at the moment.

Regrettably, we could have three full days of “the waiting game” due to the monster CPI event on Thursday morning. Nonetheless, I’m glad to be back home, and we’ll just all have to keep our eyes and our minds open about what’s next.
