In spite of my utter dereliction of duty in attending to the needs of Slope of Hope’s mobile users, they have been steadfast. In other words, I designed Slope very self-centered-ly, since I’m a desktop guy, and I’ve got a bunch of big-ass screens. Using Slope on a tablet or, God forbid, a mobile phone, is a sub-optimal experience, to put it very gently.
Yes, we do have a mobile app, and I use it every day myself, but specifically we are really weak and awful when it comes to SlopeCharts. I intend to spend the time and money to change this for the better (and it’s about time…………) since a full 50% of our users are on mobile!

Thus, I would like the act of using SlopeCharts on mobile to be much better. There are two methods I would like to optimize:
(a) SlopeCharts in a browser on an iPad
(b) SlopeCharts in the Slope of Hope app on either the iPad or the iPhone
In other words, I am skeptical of making SlopeCharts in a browser on the iPhone worth doing. I am open to being proven wrong on this!
Having said that, here are the specific improvements I think SlopeCharts needs for a decent mobile experience, which presently has some serious deficiencies:
ONE: I cannot drag and drop symbols between watchlists or between a watch list and the screen
TWO: I can zoom on a chart by swiping, but double-tapping does NOT unzoom it, and it should
THREE: The menus are useless, because even though I can tap on them and make them appear, they instantly disappear
FOUR: There is no way to bring up “right click” menus (on a regular computer, I can right-click on a symbol, or on the chart, and make all kinds of information appear)
FIVE: There is also no way to select drawn objects and thereby manipulate them.
Why am I telling you this? Well, to let you know what I’m doing, and more importantly, to ask if I’ve missed anything important. Please write me directly if I have, because I’m about to make an investment for you, and I want to make sure my cash is well-spent!
