I honestly think silver is trying to drive me insane.
You see, many weeks ago, when I expressed a strong interest in acquiring large amounts of the metal, five-star Sloper Baby Bear wisely suggested buying small amounts frequently, over time, and not worry about the wiggles. Well, since I’m a self-absorbed idiot, I ignored his counsel, and instead did something more approaching this kind of strategy:
Considering what a strident contrarian I am, I get a surprisingly small amount of crap from the outside world. On the last day of 2024, I made yet another snarky remark about Bitcoin, and some random replied “You have no idea what’s coming on Jan. 20“. I took the liberty of bookmarking his tweet for later reference.
In fairness, this rando was right-o, because indeed I had no idea what was coming. However, I don’t think what this guy was anticipating was a lifetime peak in $BTC to be following by a sluggish wipeout of about $15,000 per coin. Interestingly, crypto peak pretty much when Trump put his hand somewhere in the vicinity of the Bible.
Just a quick “thank God another holiday is behind us” post to say that, as I’ve mentioned daily, the NVDA gap is crucial. It also happens to be exceptionally close. Here’s the daily chart (which doesn’t include the trading going on pre-market).
America’s discussion of its own sovereign wealth fund is a pathetic joke, because we’re totally broke. If you’re $36 trillion in debt, the problem you’re faced with isn’t where to put all your sweet, sweet cash (especially into something as idiotic as Bitcoin). Norway, on the other hand, has TONS of cash, thanks to the North Sea oil.
