Just like I’ve been saying over and over and over again, while the rest of humanity has been giddy about a new golden age. Let me be clear: even in my darkest nightmares, I am not being cynical ENOUGH about what is coming. Six months from now, it’s going to feel like the world is collapsing around us.
For obvious reasons (endless bailouts, endless stimulus, endless bounces) the public expects the stock market to go up forever. Recently, the percentage of the public that expect higher prices a year from now was at a higher level than ever witnessed (unlike in, let’s say, 2008, when stocks were practically free and almost no one expected a strong market).
