I’ve been on Twitter since 2007, and until recently I didn’t see much in the way of spam. It recently got really annoying, because I kept getting those stupid “I followed this one guy and made $200,000 on a $7 trade, so please follow him” things, and all I knew to do was block them one by one. There’s a better way to go about this, though, which is to go to the Muted Words page and enter any words which, by themselves, will prevent the tweet from showing up. You’re welcome!
This is definitely a market I like. Almost every single bearish position I’ve got is gaining value today, and my one and only long – – silver – – is up almost 2.5%. Nicest of all, our bullish friends keep applying shock paddles to the market’s chest, and it hasn’t yielded dick.
I don’t think I’ve found a more faithful companion in equities recently than XHB, the exchange traded fund for homebuilders. I’ve written and talked about this thing countless times, and it simply keeps chugging along beautifully.
Before all the fun began a few weeks back, I offered the idea that weakness in Bitcoin, of all things, would break the stock market. I pointed to $90,000 as a key psychological level, and indeed, as that level broke, stocks came along for the ride. This is nicely illustrated with the layered chart of $BTC and SPY, which are in virtual lockstep.
