As I’m sure you’re aware, the talent wars and funding wars going on in the world of artificial intelligence has reached a fever pitch. Nine-figure pay packages and ten-figure funding rounds for “startups” have become the norm.
Much of this is covered in a specialty publication called The Information, and a story yesterday caught my eye:
I dislike large groups of people (AKA numbering over 6). I dislike vacation. I dislike noise. I dislike gluttony. Put them all together, and you get what I suppose a so-called “cruise” would be like. But a cursory glance at YouTube reveals it’s far worse than I dared imagine, resembling something like the 9th circle of Hell.
I had forgotten Shake Shack was a public company, but RNeo mentioned it as a downgrade this morning, so I decided to take a peek. Good Lord!
I have absolutely zilch to say about the markets this morning, except that I got out of my PEP short at a loss pre-market (mercifully before the price got even higher) but am otherwise fully in position. What I will say now, however, is that we are hard at work on a totally new app very much focused on live conversation in the Slope community. I’m excited to be developing and testing something new for you!
