Now that we’ve got the second half of 2025 well underway, let’s catch up with some index charts.
Starting with the NASDSAQ Composite, we were at a lifetime high last Thursday (which was the prior trading day), and we gave up those gains, and a bit more, today. We are presently absolutely spot-on the broken trendline. Make up your mind, tech stocks!
I would like to suggest both of these companies (one of which, Estee Lauder, I’m already short) as short-sale candidates:
My largest short position continues to be long-term US bonds, by way of the fund TLT. This is down about 0.8% today, continuing to tiptoe its way toward what I hope is an historic failure at the 82.68 price level. I’ve tightened up my stop-loss price to 87.30.
