Since the SCOTUS ruling didn’t happen, it’s a pretty dull day (and annoyingly green, I must say). Here are a trio of charts I found for you which have one thing in common: distribution tops that have been grinding away for years and may well represent major peaks that last for a very long time as they work their way lower. Slopers are enjoying the new Trader’s Diary feature on the site, and we’ve just added something new: a grade graph. Those of you who have used the feature know that you can give yourself a grade at the end of each day based on your own assessment of your behavior and performance. What the grade graph does is plot out, over your entire diary history, how your self-assessment looks over the long haul. Since this is such a new product, it isn’t much to look at yet, but you can imagine how helpful it would be to see your chart over, let’s say, a six-month period to see how you are tracking in your own estimation!
Now that government data is more or less back to normal distribution, the jobs report for the month came out this morning, and it’s just the kind of feeble growth the bulls wanted to see. In a nation of a third of a billion humans, a mere 50,000 jobs were added to the entire economy for the month. Over the past four years, the trend in job growth is clear.
